Baby Sanchez is a......

It is with so much joy that I announce that we are having a sweet baby boy! I spent the morning anxiously waiting 11 a.m. to arrive; I could barely stand the wait any longer. As soon as the clock hit 10:45 a.m., I packed up my stuff at work and walked down to the health center. Jack was already there waiting and we made our way to the office. We waited for about 10 minutes until our ultrasound technician called us. My heart fluttered with excitement -- we were about to see our baby! He was so beautiful! All of his bones, heart, brain, fingers, toes, and nose were perfect and he was measuring a few days ahead. The technician kept saying to us, "Wow, this is a beautiful baby!"

We watched as he wiggled and squirmed. He was filled with so much energy and the technician had to chase him around to get the shots she needed. I think he's already taking after his mommy, but it's undeniable he has the sweet features of his daddy! He kept taking his hand and resting it on his cheek as if he was posing (Jack likes to think that he was displaying his more reflective inclinations)! He loved turning over and curling his little knees into his chest! We are so in love with our sweet little guy!

Today has been one of the best days of our lives and we are so excited to meet him in December!  I'm thankful for a very healthy, active baby boy!  <3

We decided to name him Jackson Phillip Sanchez. "Jackson" is obviously a derivative of "Jack," but it also means "God has been gracious." "Phillip" is a name on Jack's side of the family that has been passed down for many generations (e.g., Jack's grandfather's first name is Phillip; his dad's middle name is Phillip; his brother's first name is Phillip). But, also, "Phillip" is composed of the ancient Greek word philos, which signifies a love had between friends.

We can't wait to meet you, Jackson!
